Hello everyone!

Sorry about the long blog drought again, but I have been really busy. The last week I have been writing my report cards from the phone teaching from hell the week before! I have gained another bunch of students, one of which doesn't know what the word 'dog' was when I played pictionary with the class! Brian gave me the heads up on the other students I gained, but that one he just said, "good luck, Dave".

Here are some pictures of last months field trip to a place where kids can learn about traditional games and stuff. It was a bit of a nightmare as the place just opened and there were a whole bunch of other schools there.

The whole class against me tug of war was fun until another class came over and joined in! I went back there today actually. But I will come on to that in a bit. Next months activity day is Halloween. I have heard this a pretty big one for the school. The whole place is decorated and we just play games and stuff for hours and scare the kids. Jake had a little smile on his face when I asked him if the kids get scared and cry, LOL!!

Chusok is coming up next week and its going to be a pretty exciting time. Mum is coming over to visit me and I should be pretty busy for the full week of holiday I have. It will be pretty good to see Mum again and to get out and about in Seoul a bit more.

So, Chusok is a big festival in Korea and the kids got all dressed up for it on Thursday, it was so cute. Hanbok is the name of the traditional clothes in the pictures below, there is also a picture of a lady in Hanbok. The kids were so cute, all of them were dressed up.

As I was saying a little earlier, I went back to the Korean village thing today, but that's only because it was in the Munhak area, and I was going to the stadium there. Not for sports unfortunately but even better, there was a food festival there. It was pretty much all Korean food but it was a nice day in the sun. There was only one disappointment... The bread in the picture was not for sale it was all yesterdays bread from a bakery hagwon, a bakery school.

I think its time for a nap... whoever reads this send me an email, cos it would be nice to hear from you/

lots love

dx
