Ch, Ch, Ch Changes!

Well the changes never stop happening around here it seems! Not only are five fresh faces expected to appear in the area, but we are to get a new Korean teacher as well! It seems that the longest serving member of my school is going to be leaving. I love the way that this is going to make a huge impact on the next couple of months when there are a whole bunch of things to get done, but nobody has told me officially! I also love the way that none of the kids are supposed to know that Elaine is leaving. Also there is a slight problem with the replacement for Elaine’s position and nobody has officially told us that either, we all seem to have to get our information second or third hand from the grapevine.

If that’s the way they want to run a school… but then again on the other hand all of the foreign teachers last a year or two maximum and have to leave so it’s not an abnormal thing to have people coming and going. I think it’s just that I haven’t seen it yet. Two of the teachers that are here now came only about a month before me so Elaine and Brian have seen both foreign and Korean English teachers come and go.

Phone teaching again tonight, and tomorrow, but for this month I don’t think I will have to roll over onto the third day! I have a lesson off this afternoon that the other teachers don’t so I can get a whole bunch of kids done and be really ahead of schedule. I’m pretty happy with that! And we get free food!

On that subject I am in serious training! I’ve been going to the gym as much as I can recently to get up to full fitness for the upcoming BIG EATING COMPETITION! We tried to hold it on Sunday, but the place we are eating at was closed for renovation. Watch this space for more information on that one! The competition food will be tacos, so please send me your prediction of how many I could eat. And don’t bother sending me any negative feedback about the amount I eat, I don’t need the negative vibes :)

Hey hey kids!!!

How’s it going? Things still pretty good here. Had a field trip today, just went to an indoor play area for the kids, it was pretty cool, all we had to do was sit about and eat lunch with the kids. Might be able to post up a piccie soon.

Things are pretty much still the same as ever but with even less sleep! Its really humid here and hot and noisy and bright. So to sleep I have to have the air con on and that’s noisy and then the little room with the air con unit thingy in it gets really hot and becomes a radiator. There really is no winning when you are on the 7th floor.

Things are all in flux, Elaine is leaving soon and to be sorely missed! So we get a new teacher, who is from Yorkshire! Then more new additions are to arrive, one to replace a guy that did a runner from EWHA (a school down the road) and there are getting a new teacher any way. There is another new guy from Canada as well, Kelly, he arrived last week and has already stopped drinking straight soju! So that’s going to be four new people in the space of a month!

Just remembered that I have a whole bunch of stuff to sort out!!!

Hope you are all well

Send me an email or some cheese, perhaps some cold air!

Lots love

Had a good couple of weeks, just trying to chill out a bit more and not go out too much, Last month was a bit expensive.

So... this last couple of weeks have been interesting , i've eaten things that i didnt imagine i would. Wednesday was a special day to eat Poshin-tang - DOG, so I went on thursday with Eline and her Brother and his mates (who have come to visit, infact they left today!) Its a bit of a wierd meat. I didnt liek the texture, it was a bit slimey and a bit fatty. It tasted a little bit like the smell of dogs... I wonder if the species will ever forgive me?

And there was last night when i managed to get teh worst 'service' (free stuff) ever!!! I got silkworm larvae! they are truely nasty! BUGS I ATE BUGS!!!! It was something I will never do again, but like i say I'll eat pretty much anything once!

Last weekend we went to Gyeongbokgung its a palace, it was destroyed by the Japanese a while ago but its been restored, heres some pictures!I'm in a bit of a rush, I have got some other things to do. If you wantmore piccies and I am on your MSN go to my space.

might update more later date BYE!!!

lots love!
